He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Joni Saunders and Chris Nelson (Jill); his grandchildren, Ashlee Thompson, Kelsee Tucker (Jordan), Zoe Nelson and Chase Nelson; his great grandchildren, Graylan, Emma Thompson, Wesley "David" and Cameron Tucker; his sister Judi Snyder; his close friend Jerry Schaekel; and his brothers, Jeff Nelson (Joy) of Orlando and Mark Nelson of Danville, Indiana..
