He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Knight and Beatrice Knight (Hargis); his son David Knight Jr.; his grandson Dustin Knight; and his siblings, Virginia Stieneker, Barbara Armstrong and Joseph Knight.
He is survived by: his children, Sheri Hughes of Oaktown, Deborah Simpson (Robert) of Ellettsville, Patricia Scott (Jeffery) of Bloomington, Laura Jo Lowther of Bloomington, Michele Guenin (Monty) of Evansville and Travis Knight of Mooresville; and his sisters, Patty Rodenbeck and Betty Bottoms. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
David enjoyed helping with the charity boxing each year at RCA.
