James L Keck Sr. Obituary
James L Keck Sr., 67, of Pierceton, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 12:05 p.m. Born February 14, 1954 in Monroe, Michigan, James was the son of Earl Newton and Irene Helen (Steinmen) Keck. He was united in marriage to Misty Lynn Shenefield on September 30, 2013 in Columbia City, Indiana.
He was a graduate of Monroe High School, Michigan. James proudly served his country in the US Army from 1971 to 1974. He was an employee for Welch Packaging Group, Pierceton. He enjoyed playing the drums, loved boating and adored his family.
James is survived by his wife, Misty Keck of Pierceton; children, Darlaane (Robert) Barnett, and Kimberly Ann Marie (Steven) Holloway; stepchildren, Brittni Shenefield and Katelynn King; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by 2 children, Ruthann Marie Keck, and James Lee Keck Jr.
A visitation is planned from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, 105 S 1st St. Pierceton with a funeral service celebrating his life at 12:00 Noon. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will be officiating the services. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
