She was predeceased by: her parents, William Slaven and Ruby Slaven (Kirk); her husband Donald Cox; her son Mike Cox; and her brother Bill Slaven.
She is survived by: her daughter Nikole Jones of Petersburg; her grandchildren, Alyssa Hollander (Seth), Madison Jones and Reece Jones; and her sister Jo Ann Willis of New Bern, NC..
