We bid farewell to Oleva Uppencamp of Petersburg, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 23, 2024 at the age of 90. Oleva touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Spencer DeWitt and Rosa Russell (Fox); her former husband Elijah "Osga" Richardson; her son Leslie R. Hedrick; her stepdaughter Charlotte Richardson; her brothers, Noel Russell, Harold Russell, Loyal "Cotton" Russell, Edwin Russell and Delmas Russell; and her stepsister Diana Foster.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas C. Richardson (Sue Ellen), Anita R. Nance (David) and Tamara C. McKinney (David); her stepchildren, Elaine Cockerham, Terry Uppencamp (Deborah), Steve Uppencamp (Sandra) and Joseph Uppencamp (Jennifer); her brothers, Rev. Lindy Russell and Roger Russell (Suzy); and her husband James Roy Uppencamp. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations please be made to the First Christian Church of Petersburg or the Vincent Christian Church of Otwell.
