He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Thomas and Cora Ritter Thomas; his wife Jeanette M. Tardiff; his sons, Jerry, Andy and Philip Thomas; his brother John Thomas; and his close friend Wilma Tuttle.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jean Smith of Petersburg and Mary Thomas of Winslow; his grandchildren, Eric Smith (Robin), Jessica Aldridge (Aaron), Amy Mitchell and Ethan Rolens (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Payton Readle, Addy, Kason Aldridge, Bren, Summer, Daisy Smith and Jaila Jackson; and his brothers, Glen Thomas of Spencer, IN and Jerry (Helen Rains).
