He was predeceased by: his parents, Saint Elmo and Elizabeth Morton (Chamberlain); his wife Marjorie Morton; and his siblings, Bob Morton and Martha Traylor.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Carroll (Kevin) and Elizabeth Jansen (Paul); his stepson Ron Gross; and his grandchildren, Joseph Carroll, Nikolaus Jansen, Kirsten Barriger (Sean), Kaeden Jansen, Tyler Gross (Sydney), Sean Gross, Alex Gross and Cory Gross. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
