He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Arthur and Eathel Arthur (Fox); and his siblings, Harold Arthur and Marjorie Arthur Roach (Lester Roach). He is survived by: his wife Jayne Arthur of Petersburg; his children, Scott Arthur (Pam), Todd Arthur of Rosedale, IN and Jodie Blake; his grandchildren, Scott Arthur Jr., Amber Oyler (Jared), Jacob Brown and Lacey Brown; his great grandchildren, Jase Shepard and Emma Oyler; his nieces, Nancy Tucker (Gordon) and Terrie Artman; and his brother-in-law Steve Ennis (Sherry Cockerham).

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center in memory of Gerald.
