She was predeceased by: her mother Mollie Deal (George); her former husband Herbert W. Pfrang; her husband James Smith; her father Charles N. Deal; her son Michael Pfrang; her son-in-law Steve Nowling; and her siblings, George Deal and Jean Frederick.
She is survived by: her daughter Jan Nowling of Bloomington, IN; her grandsons, Seth M. Nowling and Colin D. Nowling (Lisa); her great grandchild Rachel Nowling; her siblings, William Deal (Linda) of Indianapolis and Shirley Daywalt (Ray) of Evansville; her stepdaughter Claudia; and her stepgrandchildren, Jose, Gabriel Soto and Anita Lopez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations please be made to the First Baptist Church of Petersburg and may be mailed to PO Box 43 Petersburg, IN 47567.
