She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Whitney and Thelma Norrington (Lang); her husband Oliver "Red" Swain; and her siblings, Junior, Bob and Jean.
She is survived by: her daughter Doris Cooper of Petersburg; her granddaughter Kelly May of Petersburg; her great grandchildren, Cody May, Tanner May, Terra May, Justin May and Travis May; her great great grandchildren, Roslynn May, Chloe May and Layla Shalabi; and her brother Ishmel Whitney.
