He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Keyes Temple; his parents, Annabel M. Temple and Robert S. Temple; his children, James Robert Temple, John Michael Temple and Elizabeth Temple Yager; his grandchildren, James Wyatt Temple, Jordan Ashley Bunch, John Robert Yager II and Joshua Michael Yager; his sister Christine Custer; his brother-in-law Wayne Custer; his niece Temple Custer Montanez (Rafael); his nephew Adam Custer (Mandi); his great-nephews, William and Benjamin Custer; and his great-niece Gracyn Gagni.
In lieu flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Miami County Helping Hands, Samaritans Purse, The Gideons, The African Dream Academy, the Rolling Chapel or the Mary Temple Scholarship Fund.
