It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Sparks of Peru, Indiana, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Sparks and Imogene Palma; his wife Patricia Sparks (Mize); and his sister Connie Garrett. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Birnell (Dale), Heather Sparks and Nikki Gomez (Carlos); his siblings, Bill Sparks (Deb) and Karla Blair; his grandchildren, Zach Birnell, Bailey Mavrick, Dylan Hopper, Jacob Hopper, Vanesa Gomez, Leo Gomez, Travis Fuqua and Shayna Fuqua; his great grandchildren, Serenity Birnell and Zerreck Birnell; and his stepdaughter Tonya Atkinson (Erick). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
