He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Calvin and Mary Veronica Patterson (Butzin); his wife Phyllis; his siblings, James, Henry (Bud), Norman, Russell, Jr., Emma Lennon, Thena Chandler and Mary Lennon; his great grandchildren, Corinna Miller and Trintyn Hayes; and his son-in-law John Alfrey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Miller (Walt) of Peru, Diana Alfrey of Peru and Jane Babbs (Jim) of Peru; and his grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Timothy Miller, Daniel Miller, Michelle Hayes, Johnny Alfrey, Curtis Babbs, Craig Babbs and Chad Babbs. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
