He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Hopkins (Frank) and Mildred Bolinger Hopkins; his siblings, Joyce Cardwell, Betty Flora and Marion Hopkins (Bob); and his son Michael Ray Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn J. Binkerd; his daughter Vickie Thrush (Randy) of Wabash; his grandchildren, Sheryl Hodson (Matt) of Wabash, Serena Acker (Jonathan) of Westfield and David Thrush (Katie) of McCordsville; his great grandchildren, Anna Hodson, Nathaniel Hodson, Aria Thrush, Emery Thrush and Gavin Acker; and his sisters, Lucille Shepler and Sandra Surface (James).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Gideons or Miami County Helping Hands.
