It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis G. Berglan of Peru, Indiana, born in Amboy, Indiana, who passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Kelsey (Harry Berglan, Jr.) and Lela Kelsey (Stilwell); her husband Harry Berglan, Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Harold and Merval Berglan; and her nephew Barry Berglan.
She is survived by: her sons, James Alan Berglan (Lavita) and Thomas Berglan (Karen); her grandchildren, Kelley Simmons Amboy (David), Heath Berglan Lafayette (Linda), Laura Berglan (Ben Davis) and Matthew Berglan; her great grandchildren, Alaina, Aubrey Simmons, Christopher Skronski (Shelby), Lucas Berglan and Cullin Davis; her sister Arlene Stair Carmel (Raymond); and her sisters-in-law, Jane Ann Troyer Kokomo (George), Onda Berglan Stroup and Marion. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Hermon Agnes Community Park, Amboy.
