It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine J. Black of Peru, Indiana, born in Comanche, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Bragg and Nellie Bragg (Baldwin); her husband Kenneth Black; her son Neal Black; her son-in-law John Pattison; and her siblings, Abigal Nellie, Haurice Andrew, Andrew Augustus, Robert Elmer, Eunice Iris, Irma Iola, Amos Windroe, Evan Boyce, Georgia Alma, Florence Frances, Eula Fae and James Howard.
She is survived by: her children, DeAnna Pattison and Keith Black; her grandchildren, Haley Ralph (Jay), Shalana Seifert (Damon), Brady Black, Sean Green, Jamie Black and Courtney Salyer (Abie); and her great grandchildren, Eastyn Long, Gabriel Singleton, Marleigh Singleton, Kynlei Ralph, Oakley Ralph, Chase Seifert, Dalayna Seifert, Braley Seifert, Devyn Black, Hutson Salyer and Rowan Salyer.
