He was predeceased by: his parents, T. Elmer Donaldson and Hazel Donaldson (Carlin); his siblings, Lela Zimmerman, Elmer Leon Donaldson, Ed Donaldson, Norman "Bud" Donaldson and Keith Donaldson; and his great grandchildren, Chlore Donaldson and Phoenix Donaldson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Donaldson of Peru; his children, Pat Betzner (Dennis) of Wabash, K. Leroy Donaldson (Bev Ramey) of Peru, Sharon Craft of Peru and Karen Donaldson of Peru; and his brother Larry "Doc" Donaldson (Irene) of Roann. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
