With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Juanita Mays of Peru, Indiana, born in Wabash, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Juanita left this world on June 9, 2024 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by : her husband Rex E. Mays; her parent Oscar; her siblings, Joretta Kerschner, Annette Stout and Francis Summers; her siblings-in-law, Paul Kerschner, Don Ramsey, Carl Mays and Joan Mays; and her in-laws, Lawrence and Pearl Mays.

She is survived by : her children, Marcia Minard (Greg) of Peru, Curtis Mays (Anna) of Kingston, WA and Doug Mays (Karen) of Wabash; her grandchildren, Dustin Minard (Katie), Corey Minard (Alexis), Lucas Mays (Sarah), Trevor Mays, Parker Mays and Kayla Mays; her great grandchildren, Kayla, Haleigh, Nash, Nataley, Jackson, Elijah, Delilah and Mason Minard; her great great grandchildren, Aubree and Liam; her brothers, David Summers (Connie) of Wabash and Scott Summers (Stephanie) of Roann; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Ramsey of Lebanon and David Stout of Wabash. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Parkview United Methodist Church (1785 IN-19, Peru, IN 46970). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests your consideration of making a donation through the Miami County Community Foundation to either the Rex E. Mays Memorial Fund to support youth and promote sportsmanship or the M & M (Mays & Minard) Give Back Community Fund to support the Miami County community grants program.
