She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Huffer and Genevieve Huffer (Kanable); her former husband Tony K. Darnell; and her brother-in-law Troy Lowery. She is survived by: her husband Terry Powell; her daughter Jessica Sceggell (Tyler); her stepdaughters, Laura Lynn Powell and Sarah Louise Smith (Dustin); her sister Phyllis Lowery; and her grandchildren, Jada Sceggell, Lucas Sceggell, Reggie Reed, Anthony Smith and Brenton Smith. She is also survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
