He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hoeppner and Betty Hoeppner (Killian); his sister Sue Lynn LaBare; and his brothers-in-law, James Wagner and Robert LaBare.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Smiley Hoeppner; his sister Diane Wagner; his children, Beth Meurisse (Harold), John Hoeppner (Fran) and Mark Hoeppner (Diana); and his stepchildren, Christy Yard (Brent), Mike Gatliff (Dawn), Joe Gatliff (Jodi) and Jami Church. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
