He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Theophillos Ulmer and Bessie Maye Newton; his siblings, Earleene Speights, Earnesteen Hebert, Odeene Ulmer and John C. Ulmer; and his great grandchild Dakota Raelyn Larson.
He is survived by: his wife Nethel Ulmer; and his children, Sharon Hollifield (Robert), Jesse Ulmer (Ingrid) and Penny Spradley (John). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
