With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Ruth Powell of Peru, Indiana, born in Sylvan Grove, Kansas, who passed away on October 17, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Davis and Clara Davis; her daughter Kathy Shank (Barry Hall); her siblings, Reva Warne and Ronald Davis; her son-in-law Roscoe Mofield; and her husband Hubert "Bud" East.

She is survived by: her former husband Fred Powell; her daughters, Connie Mofield (Roscoe) and Linda Robinson (Keith); her siblings, Sharon Cutting of Canton, TX and Jerry Davis (Patricia) of Denver, CO.; her grandchildren, Justin Cory Shank (Nicola), Kara Shank of Peru, Brian Robinson (Ellana) and Brent Robinson (Kelly) of Ft Wayne; her great grandchildren, Alex Zimdahl, Sommer Webb (Scott), Dakota Howell, Madeline Robinson, Blair Robinson and Graham Robinson; and her great great grandchildren, Wesley O'Donley, Caroline Howell, Michael Webb and Zoey Webb. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
