He was predeceased by: his wife Harriett E. Townsend; his parent Mary Betty; his stepfather Burnest Burgess; and his siblings, Patty Burgess and Lonnie "Hooper" Burgess.
He is survived by: his children, James Allen Bellar (Shanna), Tina Kay Bellar, Becky Sue Bellar, Ronda Renee Baldwin and Marie; and his siblings, Doyle "Worm" Burgess, Dwight "Fats" Burgess, J. D. Burgess, Lisa Anderson, Susan West, Gene "Skinner" Bellar, Lois Hargis, Penny Burgess, Russell "Russ" Bellar and Bill Johnson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana.
