He was predeceased by: his parent Captain James I. Rich; his spouse Linda Lou McGowen; his son David Rich; and his siblings, Robert, Jay and Miriam.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Rich (Kathy), Kimberly Rich Larson (Jim Cooper) and Peru; his daughter-in-law Connie Rich; and his grandchildren, Alexa Larson of Indianapolis, Anna Rich Uhles (Zachary), Emily Rich of Pittsburgh, PA, Jackson Rich of Culver, Lauren Rich of Wabash, Connor Rich of Wabash and Carson Rich of Wabash.
