He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hugo Otto Rabe and Helen Alice Siegfried; and his sisters, Norma Bergman and Roberta Swick. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Rabe (Teri), Davenne Benge (Matt), Herbert Michael Rabe (Kristie), Jeffery Rabe, David Scott Rabe (Kristi) and Brady Saylor (Shelly); and his grandchildren, Nathan Bickel, Jamy Bickel Kily Miles (Pam), Daniel Rabe, Michael Rabe (Gretchen), Gregory Rabe (Millie), Dustin Rippy, Kristin Maldonado (Amilcar), Zach Rabe, Jacob Benge, Matthew Benge, Derek Rabe (Balee), Breanna Pear and Brandon Pear.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 5:00 PM at 154 S Wabash St, Peru, IN 46970. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Park Lawn Cemetery (700 E. State Road 19 Amboy, IN 46911).
