He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Commons and Mary Olive Commons; and his brother James Commons. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Commons; his brother Michael Commons; his children, Jennifer Commons (Kokomo) and Joshua; his daughter-in-law Lynn Commons (Peru); his stepsons, Scott Eltzroth (Kokomo) and Jason Boruff (Indianapolis); and his grandchildren, Lee Walser, Sarah Byers, Dylan Commons and Porter Commons. He is also survived by 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
