He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Dials and Virginia Staggs Dials; and his brother Jerry Dials. He is survived by: his wife Clare Olinger; his child Emmily Musser (Marcus); his grandsons, Lucas and Carter; his daughter Julia Galbreath (Myron); his grandchildren, Devon, Adrionna, Shilyn, Payton and Lily; his son Douglas Shepherd (Kelli); his grandchildren, Skylar, Alex, Rylie and Finnegan; his children, Carri Dials and Heather Rathbun (Ed); and his grandchildren, Kaden and Karson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Riley Children's Hospital or St. Vincent DePaul Building Fund.
