He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Brooks and Relna Brooks (Hudson); and his brother Donald "Reggie" Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Dalea Zimpelman of Rochester and Derek "Duke" Ryan Brooks of Peru; his grandchildren, Mia Zimpelman, Gage Zimpelman and Owen Zimpelman; and his siblings, Shawn Brooks (Kim) of Peru and Nino Brooks of Peru.
A private family memorial service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Mexico First Brethren Church, with Pastor Lorie Keck officiating. (Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face coverings will be required and social distancing guidelines will be observed.).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mexico First Brethren Church.
