He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell Hughes and Helen Hughes; his sister Jo Ann Harwick; his great grandchild Everett Christensen; and also Jason E. Christensen.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Hughes of Peru; his siblings, Karen Messersmith of Florida and Cy Hughes of Michigan; his son Christopher Hughes of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Lily, Tyler Hughes, Trey Christensen (Jamie Rutledge), Masyn, Avery, Regan, Kynle and Kaden McGuire; his great grandchild Jason J. Christensen; and also Christy McGuire (Chris).
His grandchildren were the light of his life, so in lieu of flowers and in loving memory of Dennis, please reach out and enrich a child's life, even with a small act of kindness.
