He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lowell and Della Mary Sonafrank (Hiebert); his wife Emma Jean Sonafrank (Clemons); his close friend Delores Smyth; his stepchildren, Irma Scarlett, Georgia Cook, Linda Chappa, Barbara Babcock and Larry Barnes; and his siblings, Joseph Lowell Sonafrank, Grace Bowman and Joan Wylam.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Debbie Hartleroad of Peru; and his siblings, James Sonafrank (Connie) of Peru, Paul Dale Sonafrank (Lynann) of Columbia City, Julia Beanblossom, Mary Fultz (Phillip) of Peru and Katherine Moore of Lagrange. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Military Rites Team.
