He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Grundmeyer and Bernice Grundmeyer (Evelyn Grundmeyer); and his siblings, Dianne Engel, Charles Rummel and Gary Grundmeyer (Jane).

He is survived by: his wife Evie; his granddaughter Mary; his children, Brian Grundmeyer (Shannon) of Marietta, GA and Mary Dietz (Justin) of Woodstock, CT; his grandchildren, Evan and Lauren Grundmeyer; his sisters, Sandy Zarn (Red), Linda Glenn and Judy Haala (Gary); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Rummel and Tom Engel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
