He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Bohnenkamper and Dorothy Bohnenkamper; his wife Constance "Connie" Schnell; and his siblings, Roy, Victor Jr., Joyce Knust and Barbra Gail Pries.

He is survived by: his pet Finley; his children, Kyle Bohnenkamper (Jenny) of Warsaw, Karen Edwards (Kenny) of Lafayette and Kay Ann Ulery (Pat) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Sam, Jack, Emma, Zoe, Noah, Avery and Addison; and his sister Shirley Hart.
