He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles W. Miller, and Carolyn J. Miller, Jr. (Butzin); his children, Jaqueline Sargent (Joseph) of Springville, IN and Christopher Miller of Wabash; and his sisters, Joyce See of Peru and Charlene Yard (Ronnie) of Peru.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN to the Miami County Military Rites Unit.

“I am Rex Cunningham, Charlie's last roommate before he was moved into his room. We enjoyed many long talks together, We always talked about our days in the military and Charlie had lots of great stories. He told me he used to have the duty to throw all the extra munitions(grenades and mortars) into the shooting or munitions range, he enjoyed that. He also talked about the wonderful places he got to visit, he had been to every state except, Hawaii. Before we were roommates we played cards daily.”
