She was predeceased by: her father Leo Carson; her former husband Charlie E. McKinley; her husband Wilbur Thomas; and her son Robert S. Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Becky Rapp of Illinois, Larry Whitcomb (Cathy) of Illinois, John Whitcomb (Tammy) of Peru, Susan Stiltz (Kim) of Columbus, Cathy Shultz of Vincennes, Steve Thomas (Jennifer) of Peru, Sarah Ross (Jay) of Wisconsin, Everett Thomas (Carrol) of Texas, Gina Schrievogel of Arizona and Deneen Jenkins (Charlie) of Thorntown. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
