She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Drook and Inez Drook (Leavell); her husband Donald E. Armstrong; her daughter Janel Proffitt of Peru; her grandchildren, Jamie Gordon (Mike) of Lafayette, Kacie Proffitt of Indianapolis and Karie Sheets (Clint) of Carmel; her great grandchildren, Rylie Sheets of Carmel and Grayson Sheets of Carmel; her brother Larry Drook (Carole) of Fort Wayne; her sisters-in-law, Kay Hess of South Bend and Diane Armstrong of Chesterton; her son Joseph E. Armstrong; and her son-in-law David Roy Proffitt. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
