Betty Lou Gapski Obituary
The memory of Betty Lou Gapski of Peru, Indiana, who passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Betty farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Betty is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dowell and Hazel Jean Clemons; her husband Dave Gapski; and her daughter Rachelle Dodge. She is survived by: her children, Keven Hunt of St. Libory and Stephanie Baber of Peru; and her sisters, Nita Pope of Peru, Cherri Briscoe of Peru and Denise Price of Texas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (411 N Grant St, Peru, IN 46970).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Scratching Post Cat Rescue, 104 S. Miami Street, Peru, Indiana 46970.
