He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Sharon Rose Jarrells and Dewayne Benedict; and his aunt Linda Mae Jarrells. He is survived by: his parents, Scott Benedict of Kokomo and Cindy Benedict Rhodes of Kokomo; his wife Sarah Benedict of Peru; his brother Ross Benedict of Peru; his grandmother Betty Jo Benedict of Kokomo; his nephew Lincoln Benedict of Peru; his nieces, Kyah Benedict and Mila Benedict of Kokomo; his parents-in-law, Devonna and Kent Gould of Peru; and his brothers-in-law, Nick Gould of Kansas City and Dustin Armstrong (Charlene) of Ft. Wayne. He is also survived by several aunts, uncle's and cousins.

Throughout his time with us he was involved in a wide range of activities including wrestling (as both a student and coach), soccer, assisting with Bridges Outreach in Kokomo, SpringHill Camps, Oakbrook Student Ministries, and the Lords of Social Distance Bike Club to name a few.
