It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hildred Volkel of Perrysville, Indiana, born in Cayuga, Indiana, who passed away on January 29, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Brian Volkel and Lori Burton; and her sisters, Alma Loveall and Patsy Delp. She is survived by: her son Len Volkel (Jeanne) of Albertsville, IN; her grandchildren, Joseph L. Burton (Megan) of Perrysville, IN, Ashleigh Richards (David) of Grant, AL and Sarah Burton of Danville, IL; her stepgranddaughter Danielle Wright of Huntsville, AL; her great grandchildren, Kadence Kirby of Alabama, Karleigh Kirby of Alabama and Tessa Whichmann of Alabama; and her siblings, Gerald Uplinger, Byron Uplinger, Newt Uplinger, Margie Welch, Mildred Delp, Gretchen Douglas, Maxine Dillon, Helen Vansickle, Bonnie Lewis and Carolyn Meng. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews she loved.
