He was predeceased by: his parents, Nolan Thompson and Sula Pearl Thompson (Eads); his wife Larie; his daughter Melissa Wigger; and his son-in-law Steven Wigger.
He is survived by: his children, Mark A. Thompson, Anderson and Martisha Webb (Duane); his grandchildren, Christina Himelick (Keith), Rachel Himelick (Micah), Marjorie Lane, Elisabeth Heskett (Mark) and Jordan Webb; and his brother Gene Thompson (Charlene). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
