He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lawson (Sparks) of Pendleton; his siblings, Evaline "Eve" Earhart (Charles "Sonny"), Linda Watson (Sam) and Larry Eugene Lawson (Debbie); his siblings-in-law, JoAnn Gates (Sparks), Jane Sparks, Barbra Lawson (Gibson) and Dale Sparks; and his close friends, Steve, Eddie Branum, Bill Laswell, Jim Blake, Mike Retherford, Jesse Wilson and Shawn Finley. He is also survived by five nieces and four nephews.
