He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry S. Barger and Phyllis Barger (Stankey); and his brothers, Robert Barger and Ted Barger. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia L. "Cindy" Barger; his children, Jeffrey Barger (Kelly) of Pendleton, Joshua Barger (Keandra) of Wilkinson and Cara Hartman (Paul) of Shirley, Indiana; and his brother Lawson Barger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pendleton Kiwanis or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home.
