It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Douglass Owens of Pendleton, Indiana, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Owens and Irene Owens (Douglass); his former wife Carolyn Sue Owens; his brother-in-law John Gilpin; and his sons, Joshua and Tod Owens.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Karaffa; his children, Bryce Owens (Steffanie), Angus Owens (Stephanie Spencer) and Amanda Blackketter (Robert); his sister Mariellen Gilpin; and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Katrina, Zayda, Raythe, Fletchyr Owens, Paige and Ian Blackketter.
