He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Isabella Markle; his parents, Commadore Markle and Helen Markle of Markleville; his former spouse Jean Rogers; his children, Pendleton, Jim Markle (Peg) of South Bend, Stan Markle (Robin) of Honolulu and Sandy Markle Fleming (Craig) of Wimberley; his brother Don Markle (Sharon); his grandchildren, Jami Markle Hadley, J. D. Markle, Justin Markle, David Markle, Taylor Fleming and Lindsey Fleming Engleman; and his nieces, Susan Markle, Lee Ann Hamilton, Liza Markle, Patricia Shakoory (Nemat), Nousheen Shakoory, Nadia Martinez and Marisabella Martinez.
Current state health mandates require social distancing and masks be worn.
