With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jane Looper of Pendleton, Indiana, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 90. Though Betty Jane may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betty Jane touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ardith Moon and Florence Moon; and her daughter Cindy White. She is survived by: her sons, Ken Downham (Donna) and Steven Lackey (Michelle); her stepson Att Looper (Angie); her sister Virginia Peters; and her grandchildren, Shane Downham, Stephen Humphrey, Kenny Lee Downham, Amanda Summers, Ava Lackey and Miller Lackey. She is also survived by great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Friends Cemetery (1794 State Rte 38, Pendleton, IN 46064).
