With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alan J. Swinford of Pendleton, Indiana, born in Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on October 14, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Swinford and Betty Swinford (Rowland); and his son-in-law Dennis Waszak. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Gregg Swinford (Lisa) and Julie Waszak; his grandchildren, Hannah Swinford (Adrien), Austin Swinford (Katelyn) and Ian Swinford; and his siblings, Tim Swinford (Ann), Pat Kandrick, Howard Swinford (Kathy) and Cindi Mead (Dyle). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
