William Richard Prewitt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Richard Prewitt of Pekin, Indiana, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Prewitt and Bertha L. Prewitt (Findley); his former wife Norma Butler Prewitt; his brother Gale Prewitt; and his brother-in-law Bob Fleetwood.

He is survived by: his parent-in-law Gerrie Caudill Kaps; his wife Gerrie Prewitt (Kaps); his children, Jeffery Prewitt (Terri) and Joan Bishop (Craig); his stepsons, Jeffery Kaps (Dana), Brad Kaps and Steve Kaps (Karen); his grandchildren, Daniel Bishop, Michael Bishop (Taylor), Caleb Prewitt (Katy), Samantha Prewitt and Tyrel Garlinghouse; his stepgrandchildren, Adam Kaps (Kayla), Kristen Kaps, Jinnifer Kaps, Daniele Cotner (Theo) and Jordann Terry (Alan); his great grandchildren, Isaac Prewitt, Harper Prewitt, Cky Prewitt, Meadow Jane Copley, Xavier Garlinghouse and Rylee Cotner; his sisters, Doris Fleetwood and Nancy Kilborne (Michael); and his sister-in-law Norma Prewitt.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the church as well as social distancing within the building.
