He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hollowell and Berniece Nichols Hollowell; his wife Marie Hollowell; his son Terry Hollowell; and his sister Faye Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Boyd Hollowell of Pekin and Shirley Johnson of Memphis. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
