He is survived by: his wife Eva Hurst (Smedley); his children, Pepper K. Fleming (Jamie), Brandon R. Hurst (Amanda) and Ely J. Hurst; his sister Patricia Caves; and his grandchildren, Zachary Fleming, Ethan Fleming, Gracie Hurst, Gavin Hurst, Cooper Hurst, Jackson Hurst, Damien Hurst and Emalynn Hurst.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hughes - Taylor Funeral Home (Borden Chapel) (225 W main St, Borden, IN 47106). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
