He is survived by: his wife Shelia Johnson Beams; his children, Jeremy Beams (Colleen) of Battle Mountain, Jennifer Choate (Josh) of Old Hickory, TN, Jessica Malone of Westmoreland, TN and Rhonda Abbott (Matt) of Salem; his siblings, Oscar Beams of Pekin, Kevin Beams (Jennifer) of Orleans, Brian Beams (Sandy) of Salem, Neal Beams of Martinsville, Annie Hedrick of Salem and Bonnie Clem of Salem; his grandchildren, Jacalyn Choate, Sadie Lester, Gracie Choate, Ethan Choate, Corydon Thomas, Mason Abbott, Cayda Jenkins and Ava Abbott; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Olivia, Colt and Emberly.
