He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ray and Irene Balentine (Martin); his wife Sharon Kay Balentine (Scott); his grandson Logan Starrett; his son-in-law Rick Starrett; and his siblings, Virginia, Trudy, Lily Lanham, Carl and Kenneth Balentine.
He is survived by: his children, Scott of Pekin, Larry Balentine of Pekin, Mark of Salem, Jimmy Balentine of Salem, Linda Starrett of Salem and Virginia Borden of Salem; and his siblings, Ernie, Randy Balentine, Jean Churchman and Mary Ann Lang. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
